When using the LifeCall system, are there any codes or phone numbers that I need to memorize?
- No. If you ever need help, all you have to do is push
a button.
How does the response center know who to call if I need help?
- At the time of installation we get all the information
needed. This includes your name, address, and a list
of people that can be contacted if you need help.
How do I know if my LifeCall system is working?
- All you have to do is push the button, and when the
response center asks if everything is OK, simply tell
them that you are testing your system. Also, LifeCall
automatically tests the phone communication once a
month.
Do I ever need to change any batteries?
- No. The LifeCall panel will let Northern Safety
Security know if there are any problems, and we will
fix them.
Will my remote button get damaged if I get it wet?
- No. Your remote button is waterproof so you can
wear it while washing dishes or bathing.
Will LifeCall work when I am outside?
- Maybe. The LifeCall panel is desinged to work within
your home or apartment. While it may function
outside, we cannot guarantee that it will work
consistently.
Will LifeCall work if there is a power outage?
- Yes. Lifecall has a backup battery that will keep it
working during temporary interuptions in power as
long as the phone lines are working.
Will LifeCall work for more than one person?
- Yes. Multiple buttons can be used with each panel,
however this does increase the monthly charge.
